In Bhutan, begin with the picturesque Paro Valley, where you can hike to the dramatic Tiger’s Nest Monastery, perched high on a cliff. Experience the architectural splendor of Punakha Dzong and the cultural depth of Thimphu with its impressive Buddha Dordenma Statue.

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you’ll receive a traditional Nepali welcome with garlands and a warm reception. Next, check in at your hotel with welcome drink. Spend the rest of the day exploring Kathmandu tourist market in Thamel or relaxing at the hotel.
Start with a visit to Boudhanath to see the world's oldest Stupa, a popular buddhist pilgrim site. Then head to Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple, which offers panoramic views of Kathmandu Valley and features prayer flags and shrines. In the afternoon, visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with medieval architecture, temples, and the 55-Window Palace. Stroll through ancient streets to see Newari craftsmanship. Return to your hotel in Kathmandu to relax or explore the nearby shops, cafes, and eateries.
Start your day early with an excursion to the best viewpoint in Nagarkot for a breathtaking panoramic view of the world's tallest mountains, including the Himalayan range. On a clear day, you can see peaks like Mount Everest, Langtang, and many others. Witness the first rays of sunlight illuminating the snow-capped peaks, creating a stunning and unforgettable sight. Towards evening return to Kathmandu, on the way visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Changu Narayan Temple.
After breakfast, check out and head to Kathmandu Airport for your flight to Bhutan. Depart from Kathmandu Airport :9:10 am and Arrival at Paro Airport : 10:30 am, Airline : Royal Bhutan Airlines Flight Number: KB401. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Himalayas during the flight. Upon arrival in Paro, Bhutan, you'll receive a traditional welcome. Visit Paro Rinpung Dzong, an impressive fortress-monastery, and the National Museum of Bhutan to explore Bhutanese art and history. Then, drive to Thimphu, passing through scenic landscapes. In Thimphu, visit the Memorial Chorten, a popular stupa, and explore the city, taking in local markets and landmarks. Finally, check in at your hotel for a relaxing evening.
After breakfast, visit the largest Buddha statue in Bhutan, the Buddha Dordenma, located in Thimphu. This massive statue, seated atop a hill, stands 51.5 meters tall and offers panoramic views of the Thimphu Valley. It is adorned with intricate designs and houses thousands of smaller Buddha statues inside. Next, stop by the Bhutan National Post Office to create a customized postal stamp. Then, drive to Punakha, stopping at Dochula Pass for stunning mountain views and visiting the Fertility Temple along the way. Upon arrival in Punakha, check in to your hotel and relax after your journey.
In the early morning, hike to the Khamsum Yulley Namgyel Stupa, a stunning and peaceful monument perched on a hill. The stupa, adorned with intricate murals and statues, offers panoramic views of the Punakha Valley. On your return, enjoy an exhilarating rafting experience on the Mochu River, known for its scenic beauty and gentle rapids. Have a picnic lunch, then visit the Punakha Fortress (Punakha Dzong), an architectural marvel situated at the confluence of the Pho and Mo Chhu rivers. This fortress-monastery is renowned for its stunning murals and historical significance. After your visit, transfer to Paro.
Day 7 focuses on the iconic Taktsang hike. Start early for the 5-hour trek to Tiger's Nest Monastery, perched on a cliffside. If walking is challenging, consider taking a pony ride to the halfway point. After the hike, try your hand at archery and experience wearing Bhutan’s traditional national dress. Enjoy a traditional hot stone bath, known for its therapeutic benefits and relaxation. Finally, visit the bird’s-eye viewpoint of Paro Airport, one of the world’s most challenging airports for landing.
After enjoying your time in Bhutan, you’ll be dropped off at Paro Airport for your flight back to Kathmandu.
