The hike to the Annapurna Base Camp is different as per the itinerary and name of the trek. It usually is around 6-12 days. Meanwhile, Annapurna Circuit Trek is usually more than 12 days to the longest of 21 days. The ABC Trek distance is around 110km. You have to walk around 10 km on average for 6 hours every day.

Talking about EBC or ABC, which one is more difficult? It is known to most people that Annapurna because of its moderate weather and trekking trails has the edge over Everest on the accessibility. Everest Region has too extreme weather and rugged trails making it hard for travelers to walk on. Not only is this, in Everest Trek there a high chance that you may suffer from altitude sickness or acute mountain sickness which is not a far-fetched possibility in Annapurna Trek.

Money exchanges are usually found in Kathmandu and Pokhara. If you want to convert your money to Nepalese rupees, you should exchange it when you are in Pokhara or Kathmandu. You will not find money exchanges during the trekking journey. However, you can find ATMs from where you can withdraw your money. But, you have to ensure whether the card supports the very machine.

Well, Nepalese rupees are the best acceptable currency you can use on the trek. It becomes easier for the shopowners and the hotel owners to do calculations if you pay in rupees. You can still pay in your own currency but it is not a suggested way. You have to check out the exchange rate every day which is a very tedious job. It is so boring to even think about paying in the foreign currency according to the exchange rate daily. It becomes easier for you to plan your expenses if you don’t have to think about exchanging.

The trek to Annapurna is an easier trekking trail with great weather. So, a person with beginner-level expertise can easily complete the trek making it a trek suitable for people of all age groups. I.e. Kids to old people. You can book the ABC Trek with kids and can take them on a life-changing adventure. It will teach your children many things which textbooks and the school never will. Annapurna Trek can be the first trek for your children. The experience they get from this adventure will be fundamental for other trekking expeditions ahead in the future.

Learning Nepali for a trek to Annapurna is not mandatory. You are provided with a guide who is an expert in translating things and making you understand the gist eventually. But, if you want to dive deep into the Nepalese culture by talking about it with the local people, learning it causes no damage. Learning a new language means you are open to much more things and meeting more people. All in all, you don’t have to learn Nepali, but if you want, it is even better.

It is advised to get travel insurance for your next Annapurna Tour. There have not been such adverse cases. But, it is still better to have travel insurance. It will mentally help you to stay calm and enjoy the trip to the fullest. Not worrying about anything and just enjoying the moment before your eyes are what the trek aspires to educate all the trekkers.

We at 7Days.Travel respect your decision and life choices. There can be any sort of emergency work to do even if you have already booked the travel package. Keeping this in mind, we offer a lifetime deposit policy that gives you the opportunity to transfer your deposit to any other trip. If you wish to cancel the booked trip already, we charge a small cancelation amount. To know more about booking, cancelation, and discounts, please visit our terms and conditions.

Annapurna Trek with or without a guide can be a popular question among trekkers from all around the globe. You can complete ABC Trek without a guide but it isn't suggested. Guides are there to help you when the trail becomes way too hard. You won’t feel the importance of a guide until something unexpected happens. There are times when the going gets tough. Complications like shortness of breath, fatigue, and altitude sickness can happen. A guide is trained to tackle these problems so that the travelers feel safe. So, going to Annapurna with a guide is a great decision. While marching to the loftiest peak, you can just feel that there is someone who can help you if the tables turn against you.
